Dr. Timothy Smith

Dr. Timothy R. Smith, MD, PhD, MPH is neurosurgeon-scientist who seeks to understand, predict, and improve clinical outcomes for neurosurgical patients by combining the use of epidemiological data, advanced statistical analysis, machine learning, and emerging biological/information system technologies. His is the Director of the Computational Neuroscience Outcomes Center (CNOC) in the Department of Neurosurgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. In this webinar, he discusses the use of digital phenotyping for neurosurgical outcomes, and a recent project related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
